A unique build.

This blog follows the progress of a real one off. The build of a Porsche Lola endurance track machine from the ground up. Starting by copying an original Lola space frame chassis we fabricated everything from the wishbones to the spoiler mount. Combined with modern power in the form of a Porsche Boxter S 3.2 Engine, this really should be a serious machine when finished. Here we can see the initial stages as we fabricated the spaceframe.

When we came to fit the engine we had a few issues to contend with. The back part of the space frame had to be changed slightly to mould around the rather large Boxster unit before the engine mounting points could be made. With that done it was time to move onto the suspension. Making each individual component from scratch.

After lots of photo trawling on the internet we found a design path to follow and began construction.
